Tags and folksonomies

I see how tags can be useful for people. I liked shelfari and librarything where reveiws can be written especially for bookclub use. Once again it is all very well and good for people with lots of spare time on their hands.

RSS feeds

I found RSS feeds didn't work all the time, which frustrated me. I can see it could be useful if you spent lots of time on a computer or if there was something you had to keep up to date with, especially for work.

Wikis are fun

I really enjoyed looking at the wikis for State Library today. I didn't really know much about them before today, but think they are pretty amazing and knowledgeable.

Noosa River Ferry

This is the Noosa River Ferry which my Grandfather helped start up and worked on for his retired life.
When going on to the ferry there is a little park on the left of the Tewantin side named after him. The park is called Sid Robinson Park. He was a legend in his time and one of the first to own property at Teewah Beach. The fishing shack at Teewah is one of the originals up there, and still remains there today. The fishing shack remains in the family and is used by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
